Do you have a good idea for a character, plot, or setting, but you either can't or don't want to craft it into a story? Read on, fellow human.

Even though art is slow (and Minecraft is all-consuming) I've been playing with this idea for some kind of kickstarter project where people can fund the creation of a collection of short stories. The more people contribute, the more ideas they're able to contribute, with the understanding that the final products belong to me (and thus can be published on Google Books or something for very low or no prices), though said contributors will maintain appropriate accreditation. I use long sentences.

So what do people think of this, those of you who actually stumble upon my journal on my wee little deviantART page ... Would you partake in this project? Would you pay for it (pay to fund the creation of it, not pay for the book itself)? Do you have any advice/ideas to offer on this idea? Do you just wanna say hi? Hi.

On the side, yes, I've submitted one journal in the past four years. That's fine. I'm still alive :3

Patere by treijim
Patere
Mouse, PaintShop Pro, done early last year.

Just drawn for fun, really. He's of a race in Riiga called the Patere, who are meant to have died out so long ago that they're essentially myths. Maybe this is what they looked like. Maybe it isn't. We shall never know the answer :3

No, I'm not dead, and no, I don't really draw anymore. But I might upload something every year or so until I run out of stuff. Maybe I won't run out of stuff. Maybe I will. We shall never know the answer to that either :3

I love the light and facial detail in your work. Also, the fantasy costumes are incredible. One thing you might want to work on is more variety of facial expressions. The faces are mostly kind of expressionless or slightly sad.

Making Comics by Scott McCloud has a great section on how to create a complex facial expression pallet out of the 6 basic expressions.

Don't mean to be critical, I think you're doing absolutely incredible stuff. Keep it up!
