Crown of Antlers by treijim Crown of Antlers by treijim
"The Onuxutex is considered the greatest of all antlered and hoofed mammals. Standing at a colossal 3m at the shoulder, and weighing around a ton, it's no surprise that not many would argue against this."

6 hours with a mouse in Paint Shop Pro.

That'd be awesome. If the prices were decent, I'd almost definitely buy a canvas of this one. Wouldn't be right away cause money is tight, but I'd buy it when I could.

Since you've actually said you will buy one instead of "oh, other people will buy them", I will make this one a print for you :D ...but not just this minute. Gimme a day or two. :P

Heavier than the heaviest deer on earth ;p The record is a moose and it's 850kg or something. Any heavier and they'll get stuck in the dirt because their hooves are too small.

Do you know that you are scary? Like super scary... You're way too talented. It's not natural! How do you do it, you are extraordinarilly talented. You're work looks so real. It is good to know there are still true artists out there.

:O I don't consider myself a true artist, nor do I think this looks really real. Realistic, perhaps, but not real. But I won't argue against it because it was such a nice comment, lol

Yes! You shouldn't, because it does look real. It looks like early morning when the mist still enshrouds the landscape. Why do you not consider yourself a true artist?

Woah, you're awesome! You are polite, you're a actual artist and you are a Christian! You must be the rarest person on earth! Yes, you won that argument. God is the only true artist.

ok.. got a question for you... the brushes you used.. were they all "short cuts" as opposed to the old way you used to cg your work??

eg: the tree down the bottom, the antlers, the moss, the foggy look..

stuff like that.??

All the rocks were done by hand, but textures were added after for an extra effect. Moss and foliage was 80% brushwork. There are some extra airbrush lines such as roots and branches that I did. All the ground was done without brushes, as was the Onuxutex. The cliffs in the background and the sky were also done without brushes. Hope that answered it right :3

awesome. :)

i hope what i said wasnt offensive.. i'm such a pompus nit.. i rarely add texture unless i'm doing a full blown manip these days.. but yeah i was really just curious as to how you managed it. its nicely done, never the less.

Well thank you very much ^_^ It wasn't offensive at all; just a simple question. And I know we've discussed the use of brushes before. It's not the brushes, it's the way you use them :D

thats exactly right. i think the most pompus thing about my attitidue toward digital art is more of the fact that the overuse of brushes [of trees or leaves or even faces etc] can make the picture look amazing, but in the end, i tend to question whether it was their hard work, at all.. but in knowing that you are a talented artist anyway, i had to ask. lol.

Three meters at its shoulder? That's a very scary prospect. Very cool body-construction; even it's structure is somewhat intimidating.

I like the color chosen for the sky and the way the light catches the mountain in the background. Very nice.
