This has got to be the longest I’ve spent on one picture. It took almost 10 hours to complete. I simply could not do bodies and debris around the shore – the proportions simply did not want to work for me. I put a few rocks around instead to make it look less bare. Let’s just say the enemy Vikings on the horizon, sailing away from the land, attacked from the other shore.
I know my pictures aren’t usually this… dark themed, but it seemed like a good idea when it was requested and I rather like it anyway, despite the bloody sword and overall hopelessness of that one Viking’s life. Perhaps it’s the beginning of an adventure anyway…
looks great. I especially like the light break in the clouds...wonderful detail, too.

Anyway, Best of your pics so far I think IMO. The whole wind situation bothers me a bit but I don't think that can or should be changed now. A lot of wind needed to keep the that flat in 1 direction, yet no waves...
