"After thinking about everything, lying on my back on my bed, I came to the conclusion I had to run away. The more I thought about it, the more likely it seemed that my father would hire someone to kill me. As terrible as it was to consider, it was realistically true."

Taken from the story of Magnus, which only has one chapter so far and probably always will, save the storyline in my mind <_< I feel this image needs no explanation. Does anyone have any ideas for what else this image needs? I know it's too late now but it looked so empty, though I did want a feeling of isolation. Oh, and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to make a night look both dark enough to be a gloomy night and bright enough to see >_< I've also drawn Magnus before. 4 or 5 times, I believe, in my gallery :D

15+ hours work with a mouse on Paint Shop Pro. Originally inked sketch on paper.

Again awesome lighting XD Someone already mentioned depth, and I get that you wanted a clear night, but a little blurring or something on the part of the BG with the distant rocks and city could use some more depth. If I put my thumb over the city, I can't tell that that part is that far away, it looks too close. The water looks decently far away though, cause it's a little more blurry. : ) Just something to think about.

Mmm, I think that you did quite well in capturing gloom that's light enough to see in.

I really enjoy the lighting, and I don't think this image looks empty at all, the landscape has a nice open feel to it.

Thought I would have to say, his pose looks really stiff and unnatural, not as if he's moving away at all. =\ Even with the many creases in the cloth.
