Okay so here's the thing. My digital portraits are usually based on a photo reference of someone. This painting is not based on anyone, so it was unreferenced. I drew it from my head :O

I thought it was about time I challenged myself with something like this, and I really like how it came out =D

Thomas Chesterfield is a farmer boy from the later chapters of The Paladins. ~EtherealPanda watched me draw 90% of it through OC, and then I fixed it up in PSP.

o_o very reality! :+fav:
:iconlumenox:
lol !! nice job!
When I waztched this pic at the first time, I thought it wasn't as realistic as your usual realistic pic, but since you drew him directly from your head, I suppose it's only normal. There is a little anime-like style which make him look incredibly cute XD

ah I love his eyes and his hair. I don't think it's useful that I say every things I like on this pic....
I guess there is nothing I dislike in this pic. Maybe one day, I'll be able to watch you draw ^^

...all above me said the same thing.
CUTE.

agreed. TOTALLY. But I wanted to said something different too, so...

- You used a different brush on his hair than the ones you use on other portrait's hair, right? Because on other portraits, the hair looks blending with the semi-realistic face, but on this one it looked obviously computerized brush. Is it because of the image's reference is an image on the head?
-The mouth fitted his face. Although my first image is that it's too large, it is actually the perfect fit for the face structure. But somehow, the curves on the end are too sharp, it gave an uneasy feeling for me. Well, this is me anyway.
- The shine on the eye makes it look larger, inciting the shriek and yelps of many anime-loving deviants (including me.).
-The warm brown skin color makes it seem much more nicer and gentler.

...please slap me in the face if I made any mistakes, overconfident, or overly annoying...

Thats amazing, and I do agree with the others, it does kind of have a small anime-ish feel... but... you know if you stare at it long enough and study thois picture... he kinda starts to look real... o-o Thats just me.

This is amazing. He's utterly gorgeous :D

His eyes are what really caught my attention, but everything about his face is wonderful.

My only negative with the pic is that his hair looks plastic because of the uniformly thick strokes - his hair really contrasts with the fine shading and detail of his face.
